World Environment Day is a UN Environment-led global event, the single largest celebration of our environment each year, which takes place on June 5 and is celebrated by thousands of communities worldwide.
Since it began in 1972, it has grown to become a global platform for public outreach that is widely celebrated across the globe with this years theme revolving around “Beat Plastic Pollution”.
Most of all, World Environment Day is a day for everyone around the world to take ownership of their environment and to actively engage in the protection of our earth.
As India hosted it’s first World Environment Day we distributed our handmade Care&Repair kits to some of our friends to promote re-using and repairing clothes. The repair kit includes handy tools and accessories such as buttons for embellishment, scrap fabric for appliqué work, hooks, thread and needle along with our “ Meant to be Queen” tank top for you to get creative with. It all comes in an adorable cloth bag made using up-cycled fabric with some customised post cards sent with a whole lot of love!
Whether you want to rip your old denim jeans, throw on some badges on your old tees or repair the buttons on your old shirt our repair kit is here to lend you a helping hand.
We would love to see your upcycling projects!
